Being relaxed is a natural state that both the mind and the body should be in as much as possible. Many people no longer realize this as they live from one day to another in a state of anxiety brought about by fast living and lifestyles that don’t allow enough time to unwind and enjoy life as it should be.

Yoga is one of the best ways to relearn this natural state for those people who have forgotten what it is like to be relaxed and feel free from all the burdens we bring upon ourselves.
By correcting your breathing techniques and allowing for relaxation to embrace your being you will also allow the energy to flow through your body reducing fatigue that many people seem to have accepted as part of their life.
It is unnatural to be constantly fatigued and chronic fatigue affects a great number of people. There are those people who are unable to make immediate changes to their current life situation however they are more likely than most to benefit from yoga exercises as this will help them to cope better, remain more relaxed no matter what they currently have to endure and also give them more energy to make the necessary changes that will result in an improvement in their lifestyle.

It doesn’t cost anything to do yoga in your own time and you can do all the basic exercises that are necessary to bring about change without having to buy any equipment.
Also, no matter how tired you are and how little time you believe you have there is always time to adjust your breathing or stretch your muscles in yoga poses. Those few minutes that you take each day to perform the simplest of yoga exercises will give you the energy to achieve more throughout the day and to sleep better at night.

Simple Breathing Exercise
One of the most important factors that you will learn from yoga is the correct breathing techniques as it is with correct breathing that you will teach your mind and your body to gravitate towards the more natural state of relaxation.
You will be able to bring about a peaceful and relaxed state more easily and that in turn will help you to cope with stressful situations.
The deep breathing techniques that are taught in yoga can bring about calm in your life while at the same time energizing you. Many people feel that they need some form of stimulation to get energized but yoga will show them that this can be far from the truth. Yoga gives you a long term energy that is not influenced by hyper activity or nervousness.
You can practice the basic yoga breathing techniques where ever you like. Even while sitting at your office desk it is as easy as following a few simple techniques…
Sit up straight in your chair with your feet flat on the floor. Rest your hands on top of your thighs and begin to relax, slowly closing your eyes.
Now begin to think about the various parts of your body starting from your feet and relax each part one at a time as you feel them become soft and relaxed releasing all the tension that is being held there.
Feel your lungs filling with breath, expanding and contracting in a relaxed manner. Don’t ‘push’ your breathing. Just maintain a relaxed breath in and out. With each outwards breath expel the tension that is being held in your body. Set it free and breathe in the next breath of relaxed energy.
This will come more naturally the more often you do it and you will find that you can get into a relaxed state faster each time. The energy that you get from this will carry over further into each day of your life until you are constantly in a more relaxed state in your everyday life.
